Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A small circular lead and bronze votive plaque with three discernible lines of capitalized Latin script. The letters are cut off and faded in areas, rending illegible the text as a whole. Both obverse and reverse surfaces are covered in rich brown patina. Plaques like these would have been left at a temple or altar as an offering to any number of deities as a prayer for an individual, a family, or a group of individuals. Size: 1.75" Diameter (4.4 cm).

Condition
Two large but stable cracks visible on the verso, and a few stable hairline cracks on obverse side. Age-commensurate surface wear, slight bending to overall form, minor chips and losses to peripheries, with earthen deposits as well as lustrous brown patina throughout.
