Description
MEEKS-ATTRIBUTED ROCOCO REVIVAL CARVED ROSEWOOD MARBLE-TOP CENTER TABLE, white "turtle" inset marble top over a serpentine apron pierce-carved with foliate and floral decoration, raised on serpentine legs joined with pierce-carved stretcher having bold, oversized flower basket center finial with drop pendant, likely original casters. Retains an historic surface with rich color. J & J. W. Meeks, New York, NY. Circa 1860. 32" H, 43 1/2" W, 27 3/4" D.
Very good overall condition with minor wear, including small losses to flower basket and apron, one piece detached but present. Marble with minor wear and discoloration.
