A Moche Stirrup Spout Vessel
c. 250 - 500 AD
Fine line painting in reddish brown on cream, each side depicting two warriors in battle, one grasping a long extension of the helmet of the figure at front. All with jagged facial features in profile set in a fierce expression, open mouths with fangs, all wearing similar plaited body armor and kilt, and all carrying different weapons. Appears to be in very good, intact condition.

Accompanied by a letter, stating provenance prior to the 1950s
