**First Time At Auction**
Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. A gorgeous duo of free-blown glass vessels from the Roman Empire. First is a slender vial with a round bottom, a corseted neck line, and a tubular neck with a flared rim, all in a pale-blue color. Next is a light-emerald green bottle with a rough pontil, bulbous body with several impressed ribs, and a slightly-flared neck, all with gold-hued areas on the exterior. With rich color and sturdy composition, these are wonderful examples from ancient Rome! Size of largest (blue glass): 3.875" H (9.8 cm).
Provenance: private Chicago, Illinois, USA collection, acquired in the 1980s

Condition
Both vessels have age-commensurate surface wear and some discoloration, otherwise intact and very good. Nice earthen deposits throughout.
