Description
This gun is completely unmarked with the exception of a Crown V London proofmark on the top of the barrel. German style. Engraved on receiver, bolt, and triggerguard. Octagon barrel with large flat about 4 inches from the chamber end, possibly for a clamp on barrel sight. Large post style adjustable tang sight. Half stock. Double set triggers. 9mm European sporting caliber, we are not sure exactly which one. The distance from the bolt face when ejection/loading port is open to the rear of the barrel is 2 inches, so it's a relatively short cartridge. Gun retains a pleasing patina overall with areas of light to moderate pitting. Stock is good with dings and handling marks. Fine mechanical function. Bore is good with strong rifling showing wear and minor pitting. Front sight is a replacement, receiver sight could be a later made replacement as well.
