Description
Circa 1900's, a Julien Causse (FRENCH, 1869 - 1914) bronze sculpture with green patina depicting a young beauty in flowing dress with flowers in her hair. Bronze is mounted as a lamp on an opaline glass rock form baseby Ernest Leveille (FRENCH, 1841-1913) further mounted on wooden carved fitted base with grass design. Signed "J. Causse" to cerso of dress on bronze. Measures approx. 25" height (63.5cm) overall including glassand wood base. Provenance: acquired from an Atlantis, Florida estate. Previous sale notes: A similar piece sold at Brunk Auctions, North Carolina, for $11,000 hammer price; lot number 340 on Saturday, September13, 2014.
