Description

Vintage 1960’s yellow plastic toy piggy bank with a moving top hat manufactured by Westland Plastics Company of Newbury Park, California. Westland Plastics was a manufacturer of infant and young children’s plastic toys and toy sets. Their most familiar or popular line of products were the Tommee Tippee products. The company was run by three brothers and began its plastics company operations in the early 1950’s and had ceased manufacturing by the late 1960’s. Even though the company no longer exists its famous world wide brand of Tommee Tippee infant feeding products is still being produced today. This vintage hard plastic toy piggy bank features a top hat that lifts off of its head when a coin is inserted in the coin slot located on the middle back of the piggy bank. The vintage hard plastic bank is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or loss of paint and measures 9 ¾” long, 5” wide and 6” high.
