HILL; lower center under image: Entered according to act of congress A.D. 1869. by W. Pate & Co in the clerk office of the district court for the southern district of N.Y.; Lower right under the image: ROBT. Hinshelwood; Below the mat: Yosemite Valley / From the Original Painting in the Possession of the Publishers William Pate and CO New York G.P Putnam and Sons; CONDITION: In overall good condition. When examined out of the frame the sheet is not laid down but is hinged at the top. The image is clean with no visible tears or abrasions to the sheet. Minor surface soiling to the sheet upper right corner above the highest peak.
