Set of 60 Royal Bayreuth Porcelain Ceramic Dishes with cream colored background, pink and green vine floral motif and gold toned painted edges. Formal dinner wear. Royal Bayreuth is the name of a factory that was founded in Tettau, Bavaria, in 1794. It has continued to modern times. The marks have changed through the years. A stylized crest, the name Royal Bayreuth, and the word Bavaria appear in slightly different forms from 1870 to about 1919. Later dishes may include the words U.S. Zone (1945–1949), the year of the issue, or the word Germany instead of Bavaria. Marked on underside Royal Bayreuth 1794 Germany US Zone with two lions holding a T. 11 cups, 12 saucers, 8 bread plates, 10 salad plates, 11 dinner plates, 3 bowls, 1 sugar dish, 1 creamer, 1 lidded terrine , and 2 platters. Slight chips to some dinner plate undersides and slight wear to Gold toned edges on a few plates otherwise no other condition issues noted. Larges platter measures approx 16 inches wide x 10.5 inches tall.
