Rare Weller Jewel tankard designed by Rudolph Lorber and cast in very limited quantity, circa 1906. Done in soft matt finish with glossy jewels, the grape motif is carried out in the band with jewels near the bottom and in a cartouche on the back of the vessel. Impressed circular Weller mark on the bottom and bearing Lorber's cast monogram on the side. Height 13 1/8 inches. There is a 1 inch glaze chip off the edge of the handle and a similar chip off one of the feet.
