Chinese grisaille painting of an elder scholar on paper. Hand-painted Chinese semi-cursive characters, with several iron-red seals located on the left side of the image. Man is depicted in traditional scholar cap and robes while carrying a vessel. Di-gan Rod is firm and true allowing for the scroll to be wrapped easily and transported safely. Very well preserved and truly a pleasure to behold.
