Elaborate Chinese Red and Blue Dragon charger with a slightly flared lip and shallow draft. A single Flaming pearl is located at the center of iron-red (five-claws) dragon who is encircled by four lesser dragons soaring around the circumference of the plate. The backdrop depicts swirling Li-shui waves and fire painted atop a beautiful white underglaze. The outer rim is circumscribed by the Li-shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy.


Mark on base, six underglaze blue script -KaiShu- characters enclosed within double fine rings, Made in The Years of YongZheng Reign Period of Great Qing.
