DESCRIPTION: Clayton Braun (American, 1903-1986). Oil on canvas. Side portrait of a woman with long braided hair. Initialed lower left. Fixed to board. Unframed. Born in Chicago,1903. Worked in New York City. Works include Revolutionary War patriot Thaddeus Kosciuszko hanging at the New York Historical Society Museum and his series ‘Historic Chaplains’ hanging at the Bureau of Naval Personnel at Arlington and the Congress of Chaplains in Washington, D.C. MEASUREMENTS: 13-1/4" x 17-7/8". Overall with board 13-7/8" x 18". CONDITION: Two spots of residue near eyebrow.
