Description
A Chinese copper-red dish, the rounded sides rising from a short tapered foot to a slightly flared rim, covered overall in a deep red glaze pooling to peach bloom at the rims, the white glazed base with underglaze blue Xuande six-character mark but later in date, perhaps 18th-19th century, 19.4cm diameter; and a Chinese porcelain aubergine glazed dish, the interior with plain glaze and the underside rim incised with scrolling flowers and foliage, apocryphal Yongzheng six character mark within double circle, probably 20th century, 15.5cm diameter (2)豇豆红釉盘及茄皮紫釉盘两件
Condition
Both bowls ok and with no cracks, chips or restoration; the copper-red dish with slight kiln warp and minor firing blemishes and the aubergine dish with some scratches to the interior
