Collection of (6) Pieces of Contemporary Art Pottery by Makoto Yabe, classically trained Japanese ceramic artist and teacher, including: Bottle form vase, combed design decoration with splotches of turquoise and burgundy glaze, artist's cypher just above foot, 4 3/4" high, 3 3/4" diam.; Spherical form vase with multicolor nerikomi decoration on a cream background, artist's cypher just above foot, 5" high, 5" diam.; Nerikomi decorated bowl, in shades of violet, blue and green on a cream background, narrow foot, artist cypher just above foot, 2 3/4" high, 6 3/4" diam.; Copper red glazed bowl, artist cypher just above foot, 3" high, 7 1/8" diam.; Broad rimmed low bowl with red and blue flambe glaze to interior, pale green exterior, painted artist mark on base, 2" high, 7 1/2" diam.; Bowl with nerikomi decoration in shades of blue and brown on a cream background, narrow foot, 'M' mark just above foot, 2 3/4" high, 6 5/8" diam. All in good condition, no chips, cracks or damage.
