Provenance: From the personal collection of Margery Pignatelli and Prince Paolo Pignatelli. Margery is the daughter of the late Richard S. Davis, Chief Curator and Director of the Minneapolis Institute of Art . Her husband is a member of one of Italy's oldest and most distinguished noble families, with documented origins dating back to the 11th century.
