Description
First half of the 19th century inlaid dower chest from a Belgian noble named, Baroness Louise Josephine Marie de Villers de Pite. Elaborately inlaid on front, sides and top. Includes coat of arms to center of lid. Baroness de Villers de Pite (1836-1896) was the wife of Frederik Hendrik Carel Baron de Keverberg de Kessel.
Dimensions are: 43 5/8" long, 18 3/4" deep, 18" tall. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: All original including hardware. Scattered losses to inlay. Some damage to coat of arms. Good - Fine.
