Description
A Russian bisque porcelain peasant group, Gardner Factory, circa 1870s-1880s. Depicting two peasant children, one seated on a fence, the other holding a horn to his mouth, the ground painted naturalistically. The underside with the factory's iron red stamped mark and St George mark impressed in the paste, also with 7 impressed in the paste, probably a model number. Height 4 5/8 in. (11.8 cm).
Condition
Overall very good antique condition, some small wear consistent with age, use, and materials.
