Item Details
Description
A Faberge silver gilt and shaded cloisonne enamel Russian Revival Style demitasse spoon, workmaster Feodor Ruckert, Moscow, 1908-1917. The form of the spoon inspired by traditional Russian silver of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, the reverse of the bowl enameled with a stylized tulip surrounded by scrolls in shades of forest green, cinnamon, red, magenta, white, and blue, as well as a cell (on the left) filled with Ruckert's distinct bright transparent orange, all reserved against a mottled celadon green ground, the handle with a flat, flaring terminal enameled on both sides with a red and white daisy within blue and other colorful decoration, all against the same mottled celadon green ground that is on the back of the bowl. Struck with K. Faberge in Cyrillic beneath the Imperial warrant overstriking Ruckert's maker's mark (his Cyrillic initials) and 88 zolotniki silver fineness standard. Gross weight: 20 grams. Length: 4 7/16 in. (11.2 cm).
