This Vintage Original (1971) One Sheet 27 x 41 Vanishing Point Movie Poster starring Barry Newman and directed by Richard Safarian. This is not a REPRINT or a REPRODUCTION. This poster was stored folded and only the back was exposed so the color is excellent. This poster ships rolled. Like most one-sheet posters printed before 1990, this poster was folded before being shipped to a movie theater. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters. Vintage movie posters were normally printed in very limited quantities, often making them difficult to find, especially in high grade condition. The posters were not meant to be saved by movie theaters. In fact, after their initial use to promote the movie, theaters were instructed to return them to studios so they could be destroyed. The quotes are correct. “Tighten your seat belt. You never had a trip like this before!”. If you like Dodge Challengers this is the movie for you…a cult movie with a ride like Bullitt and an ending like Thelma and Louise! This is a rare find and a showpiece for any large media room! Plot Summary: Kowalski, works for a car delivery service. He takes delivery of a 1970 Dodge Challenger to take from Colorado to San Francisco, California. Shortly after pickup, he takes a bet to get the car there in less than 15 hours. After a few run-ins with motorcycle cops and highway patrol they start a chase to bring him into custody. Along the way, Kowalski is guided by Super Soul - a blind DJ with a police radio scanner. Throw in lots of chase scenes, gay hitchhikers, a naked woman riding a motorbike, lots of Mopar and you've got a great cult hit from the early 70's.
