Ancient Near East, modern day northern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1000 to 600 BCE. A wide-banded bracelet with applied, highly abstract ram's heads on each terminal. The ram's heads are composed of two coiled horns in a deep "v" shape with round eyes to either side. The ram was a symbol of masculine strength and virility. Size: 3.2" W (8.1 cm)
