Description

OHIO BUGGY WHIP CANE / WALKING STICK, marked for the Patent Cane Whip Co., Springfield, OH on the cap, also bears 1891 and 1892 patent dates on cap which unscrews to expose the cased whip extension that screws onto the ferrule to be used as a buggy whip, both pieces flexible and covered in leather. Late 19th/early 20th century. 36 1/2" and 33 1/2" L.
Very good as-found condition, some denting to cap, wear to leather covering.
Provenance: From the private collection of Gary and Dr. Joy Graham, Winchester, VA.
