Eastern Europe, Russia (for manufacture), found in New World, Alaska, USA, ca. late 19th century CE. A collection of dozens of glass, cobalt blue Russian trade beads, each with an angular, multi-sided form. The Russians made these beads to trade with Alaskan native peoples in exchange for goods like pelts. Length of strand: 27" L (68.6 cm)
Provenance: private Tacoma, Washington, USA collection
