Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 5th century CE. A collection of dozens of ancient beads, made from glass, ceramic, and stone, including a few millefiori-style glass beads. Most are shades of black, white, and grey, especially around the center of the necklace where the larger beads are, but the smaller beads are more colorful: blue, green, red, pink, yellow, orange, etc. These are all on a modern strung necklace with a modern clasp. Wearable! Length of strand: 24" L (61 cm)
