A fine, hand-carved wooden ceremonial staff depicting a pair of heads with almond eyes, prominent noses, full lips, scarification marks across cheeks and chin, and elaborately stylized coiffures with a large pair of ears shared between them. The handle is finely-detailed with a carved zigzag pattern, and the bottom pommel end is carved with fine vertical grooves as well. Custom museum-quality display stand included. Age-commensurate surface wear, small chips to faces and bottom, with one crack along one face and handle as well as one small crack to bottom pommel, otherwise intact and very good. Light earthen deposits as well as nice brown patina throughout.
