Description
Cream linen blouse hand embroidered with eyelet and satin-stitch, having high neck, long sleeve slightly puffed at the shoulder, tucks and waistband with point, silk lining;matching V-neck boned jacket with cuffed sleeve, side slits and back vent flanked by crocheted faux buttons and buttonholes, cotton lining. DLM tag "Linen hand-embroidered blouse and jacket from Queen Alexandra". DLM acquired these garments from M. Deane by way of Mrs. Cook (niece of Harriet Giltrap) who was given them or inherited them from Giltrap, dresser to Queen Alexandra. B-34, jacket L- 39. (Some tears to lining, mainly in the collar and cuff, petersham torn) excellent.
