Description
This is a wonderful vintage hand made silver blend Lapis, Turquoise, Carnelian stone Necklace from Morocco , North Africa. An ornate example with a lovely circular pendant with colorful antique glass and stone beads, accented with metal faceted decorative beads as well as decorative designs in the silver. The hand made necklace was crafted with semi precious stones into an intricate tribal motif fit for a gypsy goddess! The necklace is silver, though I am unsure if it is sterling, it may be a blended silver, it is silver however. The necklace measures 17 inches around ( the pendant hangs down 1.5 inches) and will make a wonderful addition to your collection of Ethnic adornment. In Afghanistan, Persia, India and Arabia the health of a person wearing Turquoise can be determined by the different colors of the stone. Turquoise in Asia was thought to protect us from the Evil Eye. Tibetans carve Turquoise into ritual objects. In Mexico it was reserved for the Gods, not to be worn by mere mortals. The stone has always been known as having powerful healing properties and enhances the ability to communicate. It also can help balance the throat Chakra and enhances resistance to viruses, relieves sore throats, lung infections, allergy symptoms and migraines.Natural healers see Turquoise as Master healing stone. As a balancing stone between spiritual and physical ancient Indians used the stone to heal and every Shaman possessed at least one stone.
