CONTINENTAL SILVER CASE POCKET WATCHES, LOT OF TWO, comprising a Demier Freres & Cie. example in sterling silver demi/half-hunter case with Swiss hallmarks, inlaid cobalt blue chapter ring to cover, movement and case marked "D.F.&C.", inner cover with personal inscription and date "7/9/97", with enamel dial having gilt hands, and an unidentified example with key-wind movement, in marked "FINE SILVER" open-face case with fine engraved decoration, with showpiece/fancy enamel dial having lavender ground to chapter ring, and gilt highlights, lacking key. Second half 19th century. Approximately size 0 and size 3.
Very good condition overall, expected wear to cases, half-hunter case latch does not always secure, both lacking crystal. Demier Freres example currently in working condition, the other will not wind, not currently running (see Catalogue Guarantee).
