Beautiful and creative reproduction antique fold out lap writing desk, with an assortment of storage areas even a 12 1/4" x 5 1/8" storage drawer on the front side. This was made from a beautiful unknown or possibly mixed hardwood(s) with a slightly distressed finish to look like an original antique..
All hardwood purposely made with distressed details and signs of being hand cut and assembled.
Portable writing boxes like this were used as portable desks throughout the 18th and 19th century for war and travel by men and women alike.
