荷塘鴨戯深碗

A particularly attractive, large bowl! The arched sides are dominated by the painting of a pond overgrown with lotuses. Alternating with the tall plants are pairs of ducks paddling through the water. Flowing pattern in the white glaze on the ring-shaped foot. On the bottom of the bowl's inside are three concentric circles framing a white heron standing in water and surrounded by plants. Tendril border below the flush lip. This Swatow bowl is in good, original condition.

Collection of Dr. Mech thild Borries-Knopp, Germany Dr. Mechthild Borries-Knopp (梅緹爾德∙波利斯- 科諾普博士）收藏， no. 編號 117 -145 Mechthild Borries-Knopp studied French and German Literature as well as Philosophy. She has accompanied her husband who worked for the German Cultural Institute - Goethe Institute - in many foreign countries, such as India and Indonesia where she taught German Literature and Cultural Studies at the Bombay University and at Universitas Indonesia in Jakarta. She has published numerous articles on German literature and culture. In Indonesia, where she lived with her family from 1981 to 1986, she started to collect antique chinese pottery and porcelain. At that time, a lot of expatriates were eager to get hold of precious objects from their antique dealers. That is how this small collection of Chinese pottery and porcelain from across many centuries came into being. Since her retirement in 2012, she has focused exclusively on the promotion of international cultural projects which encourage the understanding between cultures as well as the expansion of artistic horizons. 博士在法蘭克福及慕尼黑獲得日耳曼學、羅曼語言文學及 哲學碩士學位。她陪伴她在歌德學院工作的先生去了很多 國家，比如印度和印度尼西亞，在孟買大學及雅加達印度 尼西亞大學她教授德國文學及文化，發表了很多關於德國 文學及文化的文章。 她和她的家人于1981年至1986年在印度尼西亞生活，在 那裏她開始收藏中國陶器與瓷器。那是正好在當地僑民中 掀起了一股收藏熱，每個人都試圖從不同的古玩渠道獲得 最美的物件。也因此在這5年印尼生活裏，一個來自不同 世紀的中國陶器瓷器小收藏誕生了。 2012年退休之後，她專注于資助文化溝通及藝術視角擴張 方面的國際文化項目。
