Description
A Chinese famille rose lidded bowl dating from the Daoguang period. The bowl and lid both feature 4-character marks of Shen De Tang. The exteriors of the lid and bowl feature pond scenes with ducks chasing fish. The interiors feature blue and white lotus tracery.
Dimensions are: 3 inches tall X 4 3/4 inches wide, 7.6 cm X 12.1 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: It is in good condition with very minor glaze popping to the rims.
Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
