Description
A large and attractive Colima seated figure, West Mexico, c. 100 BC - AD 250, depicted nude with low headdress terminating at the rim, features handsomely modeled with left arm resting on knees, right hand holding a peyote cactus. H: 9 1/2 in (24.2 cm). A beautiful example with rich red-orange burnished surface with mottled mineral deposits. Item comes with TL test report. Ex collection of Dr. David Harner, Arkansas, acquired in the 1950s-1960s.
