Description
Antique Victorian Gold Cane Top 1.75" inscribed "To A.F. Lough, North Star 447, A.F.V.A.M., 1889. The top is hallmarked with a star over 189 and is likely gold over sterling made by Simon Bros. The clear acrylic pyramid encases a Scottish Rite 14th Degree Ring with the Hebrew letter Yod the initial letter of the word Jehovah, the Tetragrammaton, and hence was peculiarly sacred among the Talmudists. In Symbolic Freemasonry, the yod has been replaced by the Letter "G". The Yod is enclosed within an equilateral triangle which is emblematic of the three essential attributes of DeitY-omnipresence, omnipotence, and omniscience. Measures 2 1/2"x2 1/4". Weight on all 7 oz PROVENANCE: A Charleston SC Private Estate.
