A pair of famille jaune begonia vases with flared rims. Ruyi collars decorate the rim and its underside. The neck is composed of a composite floral scrolling design and bordered at the shoulders by bands of acanthus and key-fret. Four lobed cartouches are the focal point for the body and each depicts a sage and his attendant surrounded by rocks and cypress. The cartouches are surrounded by the same design as the neck and a combination Longevity & Happiness character rests between each .The foot bears a lappet of lotus petals.

PROVENANCE: From The Collections of Mrs. Alice Marie Hazell, Reached the wonderful age of 81 being born in 1935-2017.
She was the spouse of the late victor Hazell together they had traveled the world together they enjoyed visiting museums and later became employed by several smaller museums, Victor Hazell was placed in charge of procuring many of the items for the various museums, while his specialties were bronzes he developed a passion for jade and porcelain items. In the early stages in his career he found that he could find items of great value that the museums had no room for or had similar items in their inventory.
Having the resources to date and value the items he found became a real serendipity for him, it started out as a few collectables to a full-scale collection.
With the sale of these collectibles it is hoped for that another private collector will add these treasures to their portfolio and treasure them as much as Victor did.
