Description
Rare Group of Nine Plaster Redware Sprig Molds, attributed to the Singer Pottery, Haycock Township, Bucks County, PA, second half 19th century, on with pipe, cane, and raised dot motifs; two with floral motifs; one with pedestal-based urn motif; one with flowering vine motif; and four with letters within diamond borders. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, discovered by a Singer family descendant in the 1950s in one of several boxes stored away in the eaves of the Singer Pottery warehouse. All with wear from use. One letters mold broken into two pieces. Another letters mold with loss to end. L (of longest) 4 1/2".
