Description
A fantastic Near Eastern bronze figurine of a standing zebu bull, c. 1000 - 600 BC, with long graceful horns and a large hump at back with suspension hole through base, four long peg legs and short curled tail. Nicely patinated and a real nice example! H: 2 1/5 in (5.6cm), L: 3 1/8 in (8cm). Ex estate of Seward Kennedy, New York. Mr. Kennedy worked for decades as a lawyer for the Mobil Corporation, and acquired his collection throughout decades of travel beginning in the 1950's.
