Inscribed by editor Allen Cohen on the title page: "To Gene, let your lovelight shine. Allen Cohen." Also signed on the title page by Ron Thelin, one of the original and most famous hippies during San Francisco's Summer of Love, co-owner of the Psychedelic Shop at 1535 Haight St in San Francisco. The signature of Michael Bowen, the Oracle's art director is present as well. The Oracle of the City of San Francisco, also known as the San Francisco Oracle, was an underground newspaper published in 12 issues from September 20, 1966, to February 1968 in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. The Oracle was an early member of the Underground Press Syndicate.
