Coretta Scott King (American 1927-2006), "My Life With Martin Luther King, Jr.", published by Holt, Rinehart, and Winston, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, 1969, first edition, signed by the author to the free end paper with personalized inscription, medium octavo, tan cloth covered boards with gilt lettering to the spine. Note: J. Lee Friedman (American 1905-2008), was both a national and local Atlanta promoter of shows from Broadway plays to The Kool Jazz Festival and Sesame Street Live. He continued his work until his death at age 92. Mr. Friedman believed in the Civil Rights Movement and was the first to integrate two Atlanta venues. The Municipal Auditorium and the Tower Theater, although now gone, were two of the most popular venues in Atlanta for many years. Throughout this period Mr. Friedman befriended many of Atlanta's African American Black leaders including the Kings, Marvin Arrington and Hosea Williams. He made it a priority to always be available to offer advice and friendship to African American promoters.
