After Carter Woodson failed in the 1930s to interest most American Blacks in celebrating their African roots, the subject did not come into vogue until after the Civil Rights era. So this rudimentary essay by a Texas Baptist clergyman – mostly focusing on biblical history – was ahead of its time. It is also rare. WorldCat locates only one institutional copy in an American institution – at UC Davis.
