This item depicted in the images below is a rare German WW2 wound badge in its gold issue version. This badge was awarded to personnel of the German Legion Condor division who suffered combat related injuries. The Condor division was a German unit that half secretly fought in the Spanish Civil War between 1936-1940. It tested many of the weapons later on used in the Blitzkrieg campaigns between 1939-1941. Orders and decorations Germany', 2004, page 461 put 450 EURO ($550 13 years ago !!) for that nice badge.
