Description
Willie Seiller was born in Dresden, Germany in 1903. He studied art in Dresden and Munich, but left Germany in 1928. He traveled extensively finally settled in Karuizawa, Japan after World War ll. Seiler's etchings have won him a wide reputation. He sold many of his works to the American Occupation forces stationed in Japan. Seiler worked as an art instructor for an American Army College in Tokyo. He also did some oil paintings. His work shows picturesque scenes from Japan and Korea. His images have held their appeal over the years and now becoming collectors items.
