Charles W Bartlett (1860-1940) was an English painter and printmaker who settled in Hawaii. He made 2 trips to Japan in 1915 and 1919. During his first trip he met the renowned publisher Watanabe Shozaburo who printed 21 of Bartlett's designs. During his second trip Watanabe published 16 more of his prints.
