Description
Slightly elongated round iron tsuba, carved and pierced with a daikon (Japanese radish) bearing extensive foliage, with some veins inlaid in gold, and two rats with eyes inlaid in gold too. Unsigned. The rats on daikon allude to Daikokuten, or Daikoku - one of the Seven Gods of Good Luck. A beautiful piece.
