Description
Central Asia, India, ca. 19th century CE. One of the most instantly recognizable Hindu gods, Ganesh or Ganesha is known as the "Remover of Obstacles." This fine bronze statue shows Ganesh seated upon a small cushion, front legs extended. He holds an orb in one hand, an axe in another, and an unknown object in the third. The figure shows a nice patina resulting from much devotional touching over the years. Size: 1.5" W x 2" H (3.8 cm x 5.1 cm)
