Pre-Columbian Lambayeque Stirrup Vessel 700 – 1500 A.D. A whistle vessel from ancient Peru. The vessel has four gourd like chambers, attached to each other with a shaman wearing a hat with hand to chin seating on top of front gourd. The stirrups lead to a spout that functions as a whistle. Dark cream ground with some orange/red paint remaining. Dimensions: 6-1/8†W x 6-3/4†H Weight: 1 lb. 7 oz. Provenance: Ex. Collection, White plains, NY
