Description
Pre-Columbian, Peru, Chimu, ca. 1100 to 1470 CE. An attractive blackware vessel of an intriguing form - its body comprised of three contiguous, angular lobes adorned by nice stippled patterns on both sides, with twin lug handles emerging from the shoulders and flanking the lower end of the neck, a band of running wave motifs embellishing the neck, and a dramatically flared rim - all upon a concave foot.
