Mexique, Louisiane, Floride, Illinois, and lands east of the Mississippi River except Florida which belonged to France. With a list of the first 14 states to the right, including Vermont which was admitted to the Union in 1791. The region of Texas shows an unusual 'Texax' on the Cannes River. A large notation Illinois covers all the Midwest. Indian tribes detailed. Issued as Planche XIV in the work by Edme Mentelle, for which Tardieu engraved maps.
