Original Felix Lorioux Watercolor Illustration, Watercolor illustration of a bird holding a rose and an umbrella, signed by Lorioux. Executed on a folded piece of stiff paper, folded size is 4 5/8" wide x 9 3/8" high. Image is about 6 1/4 inches high. There is an abraded, slightly soiled spot above the bird's hat. Possibly from 1964, the year the artist passed away, as the number "64" appears below his signature. Felix Lorioux (1872–1964) was a French illustrator. A friend of Walt Disney, he illustrated early Mickey Mouse stories for the French market, as well as The Silly Symphony.

Notes/Literature: Huguette Marcelle Clark (1906-2011) was an heiress and philanthropist, who became well known again late in life as a recluse, living in a hospital for more than 20 years while her mansions remained empty. She was an accomplished artist and musician, having studied under famous portrait painter Tadeusz Styka, and her paintings were exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery, Washington in 1925
