String bound in one corner. Color illustrations printed on folded crepe-texture cloth. Lower corners curled. 14 pages. 2. Kiichi Nishi. The Monthly Calendar of Floral Japan. Yoshikawa Book Store. Yokohama. 1936. Hardcover. 6 1/2 x 9 inches. 87 pages. 9 tipped-in color wood block prints (5 of which are reporductions of works by Hiroshige) plus additional color and black and white illustrations. Paper-covered case worn and scuffed. Pages clean. 3-4. Selected Arrangements of Moribana and Heikwa. Yamanaka & Co., New York. Third edition, 1934. Explained by Yoshikazu Kumagae, Retold by Mitsuharu Hashizume. Complete in two volumes. Hardcover. 9 x 6 inches. Each volume has 100 color illustrations, with text in English and Japanese. In original cardboard slipcases. Fine condition.

Notes/Literature: Huguette Marcelle Clark (1906-2011) was an heiress and philanthropist, who became well known again late in life as a recluse, living in a hospital for more than 20 years while her mansions remained empty. She was an accomplished artist and musician, having studied under famous portrait painter Tadeusz Styka, and her paintings were exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery, Washington in 1925
