Publisher's cloth in plastic protective sleeve, in custom tray case with leather spine label. Brackenridge. History of the Western Insurrection in Pennsylvania, Commonly Called the Whiskey Rebellion. 1794. W. S. Haven, Pittsburgh. 1859. Hardcover. Publisher's cloth. Solid binding, darkened around edges with bumped corners. Bookplate. An Historical Account of The Old State House of Pennsylvania Now Know As The Hall of Independence. By Frank M. Etting. James Osgood, Boston. 1876. Hardcover. With numerous illustrations. Joints loose. Spine frayed at bottom. Fragments of a Psalm Book, name of John Higgins on inside cover. Lacks back cover as well as title page and other pages. Laid in is a modern note claiming Higgins (1746-1810) lived in Carlisle, moved to Chambersburg after marrying Isabelle Campbell, and may have carried this book with him during the Revolution.
